Some 120 swimmers packed the pools of the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center on Dec. 15 for the St. Nick’s Swim Meet. Participants set three national and three world records in the short course meters competition, including gay Atlanta swimmer Lorenzo Benucci, who broke the national record in the 200 Individual Medley event for the men’s 40 to 44 age group. The Atlanta Rainbow Trout, the city's gay swim club, hosted the event and placed third in the overall competition. Swimmers also took part in a holiday-themed relay that featured shuttling plastic Santas across a pool.
